Will Mike Wallace replace Santonio Holmes?

Are you looking for some inside information on ? Here's an up-to-date report from experts who should know.

Hopefully the information presented so far has been applicable. You might also want to consider the following:

For all the damage that Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has inflicted on the Ravens over the past three seasons, it's worth pointing out that his go-to guy on many of those big plays has gone on to the Jets. The Steelers traded Santonio Holmes in the offseason after another off-the-field incident by the big-play receiver.

He's been replaced by second-year wide-out Mike Wallace, and Wallace has made his mark this season. Wallace led the NFL with 21 yards per catch this year. He had 60 receptions for 1,257 yards and 10 touchdowns.

If there's a tradeoff in Holmes and Wallace, the Steelers gained in at least one aspect, said Ravens cornerback Chris Carr.

"If you look at last year, Mike Wallace wasn't really a focal point, he was just kind of an afterthought," Carr said. "But this year, he's a threat and one thing they didn't have with Santonio Holmes that they have with him is Mike Wallace is like the most legitimate deep threat [in the NFL] besides a Randy Moss."

Linebacker Jarret Johnson said the Steelers' offense hasn't suffered without Holmes.

"That guy's super," Johnson said. "He might be one of the fastest guys in the league. His ability to stretch a defense opens them up, and then you've still got Hines Ward doing the underneath stuff and Heath Miller's there, so their offense really hasn't changed a whole lot."

Of course, it's impossible to put everything about into just one article. But you can't deny that you've just added to your understanding about , and that's time well spent.
