Are you looking for some inside information on ? Here's an up-to-date report from experts who should know.
Most of this information comes straight from the pros. Careful reading to the end virtually guarantees that you'll know what they know.
As anyone with Twitter is aware of right now, the rumor that KROQ would announce the 2011 Coachella lineup at 5 p.m. today was another fake-out in the irritating annual parade of fake posters and rumors. But according to Billboard -- a rare reputable source among the rumor-mongerers -- Coachella veterans Arcade Fire will perform, as will Mumford & Sons and PJ Harvey. Expected but not confirmed are Crystal Castles and Cut Copy, who listed "take a wild guess" among their latest batch of tour dates on April 15. Among the other reported acts are Trentemoller, Lightning Bolt, Phantogram, Fanfarlo and Monarchy.
Having attended last year's musically excellent but painfully crowded fest, the announcement we're most concerned about is how concert promoter Goldenvoice plans on keeping out party crashers this year (seriously, folks, buy tickets or get out of the desert), but we'll keep you posted on when the full list drops. As always, fingers crossed for Bowie. Coachella 2011 runs from April 15-17.
As your knowledge about continues to grow, you will begin to see how fits into the overall scheme of things. Knowing how something relates to the rest of the world is important too.
