With all the new shows debuting this week, it's nice to go back to some old reliable programs. Wipeout is back, this time with snow. The Real Housewives are back after a brief hiatus. And the Jersey Shore gang is back after a not-long enough break.

ABC has finally decided to plug the hole left in its Thursday lineup since late September. The network has produced a winter edition of the summer hit Wipeout. The obstacles now have an arctic theme, though my understanding is the giant red balls will still be in play. The "oofs" begin at 8pm.

Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills may want to double check their DVRs: tonight's new episode premieres at 9pm. If you can't record then, it will repeat again at 10pm. I'm not sure what the reason is for the schedule shift, but if you miss the episode we will have the recap ready for you Friday morning.

Come to think of it, the shift might be because season three of Jersey Shore starts tonight at 10pm on MTV. All is forgiven between the roommates since their Miami adventures and the crew has decided to try a life of sobriety as they raise money for local charities. Just kidding. There's fighting from the word "go" and Snooki's friend Deena joins the party, now located back in Jersey. BYO penicillin.
